Job summary

Kemps, a Kemps brand of the Dairy Farmers of America, invites applications for warehouse operator roles in Cedarburg, WI. You will pick, pull, build orders, palletize, and stage materials for outgoing delivery, rotating across stations as needed.

Starting pay is $27.71/hour with potential to earn $30.75/hour after 1 year, on 10–12 hour shifts and a four-day workweek. A strong safety mindset and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Uses whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize orders on each trailer to optimize loading by the truck loader.
• Serve as the middle point between order pickers and truck loaders.
• Adhere to safety and equipment operating procedures in a cold environment (35–40°F).

Kemps has immediate job openings for fast paced and motivated warehouse operators to perform any combination of picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing delivery, and working any station or line that is assigned. Additionally, warehouse operators are responsible for safely operating various material and handling equipment and machinery within a warehouse, cooler, freezer or dock environment.

This position serves as the middle point between the order pickers and the truck loaders. This person is responsible for organizing orders on each trailer so that the truck loader can load trailers efficiently.

Our Operators For This Position Start At:

$27.71/hour, after 1 year our operators earn $30.75/hour.

Schedule:

10-12 hour shifts, starting at 4pm, rotating schedule, scheduled 4 days per week

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
• Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
