Kemps is hiring for a 2nd shift Order Picker/Merge Operator in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. The role involves assembling orders, palletizing, loading/unloading, and staging materials for delivery within a dairy production environment.

Responsibilities include organizing orders on trailers to assist truck loading and operating various warehouse equipment in cooler or dock conditions. Starting pay is $27.71/hour with growth after one year.

Qualifications

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in cold environments (35–40°F).

Kemps has immediate job openings for fast paced and motivated warehouse operators to perform any combination of picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing delivery, and working any station or line that is assigned. Additionally, warehouse operators are responsible for safely operating various material and handling equipment and machinery within a warehouse, cooler, freezer or dock environment.

This position serves as the middle point between the order pickers and the truck loaders. This person is responsible for organizing orders on each trailer so that the truck loader can load trailers efficiently.

OUR OPERATORS FOR THIS POSITION START AT: $27.71/hour, after 1 year our operators earn $30.75/hour.

SCHEDULE: 10-12 hour shifts, starting at 4pm, rotating schedule, scheduled 4 days per week

Requirements

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Effective verbal and written communications skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be ableto lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
• Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
