O'Neal Steel in Peru, IL seeks an Operations Supervisor for 2nd shift to oversee processing, loading and shipping, ensuring on-time delivery and quality while controlling costs and safety standards.

You will act as the first-line liaison between hourly staff and management, driving improvements, managing staffing and schedules, and supporting preventive maintenance and Lean initiatives.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in steel service center, metal processing/manufacturing environment or warehouse/distribution.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience with safety training, truck scheduling, and truck routing.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Valid driver's license required.

Mansioni

• Supervise warehouse and delivery employees, schedules, performance and payroll.
• Coordinate production work schedules and cross-train opportunities.
• Oversee shop activities to meet quality standards and delivery dates.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and lean improvement initiatives (5-S, Visual Factory).
• Monitor budgets, customer issues, and KPI targets (OTD, QDR, LTA or similar).
• Prepare production schedules and coordinate with departments to meet deadlines.
