Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to deliver health and safety programs for our plant teams in Tennessee. The role focuses on promoting health, preventing illness, and responding to emergencies, with on‑site assessments and education on communicable diseases.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain confidentiality, and train on the job for occupational health practices. Shift is 2nd, Mon-Fri 4:00pm–1:00am with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license is required.
• 1+ years nursing experience preferred; new grads with LPN experience and/or BSN degree may be considered; occupational health experience not required and training on the job will be provided.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic medical documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to get along with others.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical history and physical assessments to promote health and prevent illness.
• Provide education and guidance on communicable diseases and wellness initiatives.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical practice.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure team members’ safety and recovery.
• Respond quickly to incidents and emergencies to provide first aid and CPR as needed.
• Work schedule includes Monday–Friday 4:00pm–1:00am with some Saturdays on a rotation.
