Job summary

Christian Care Retirement Community in Indiana is seeking a 2nd shift RN or LPN to join our team on a full-time or PRN basis. Starting pay is $34.50/hour for an RN and $30.50/hour for an LPN, with an additional $3.00/hour shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts, plus $2.50/hour on weekends and double-time pay on holidays.

Job description

We are seeking a Full time & PRN 2nd Shift Nurse to come join our facility who wants to make a difference in our residents' lives. Starting Pay is $34.50/hour for an RN and $30.50/hour for a LPN. We offer an additional $3.00/hour for a 2nd & 3rd shift differential as well as an additional $2.50/hour on weekends worked and double-time pay on holidays worked. This position is open for both full-time and part-time!

The nurse in this role will be responsible for providing compassionate, professional nursing care to the residents of Christian Care Retirement Community. As a skilled clinician, they will assess residents' health needs, develop appropriate care plans, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor residents' conditions.

On a typical day, the nurse will review residents' charts and consult with the interdisciplinary care team to determine the most suitable interventions for each resident. They will use their clinical judgement and critical thinking to analyze health data and identify changes or concerns. The nurse will administer residents' medications, treatments and therapies with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the right care is provided at the right time. They will make regular rounds, checking in on residents to evaluate their response to care.

With strong communication skills, the nurse will keep residents and their families updated about health changes, new physician orders, and adjustments to care plans. They will document their assessments, interventions and communications thoroughly in accordance with facility policies and nursing best practices. The nurse will coordinate closely with nurses, certified nursing assistants, therapists, social workers and other staff to provide coordinated, resident-centered care. They will fulfill all other nursing duties required to ensure the wellbeing of residents.

Above all, the nurse will carry out their responsibilities with compassion, patience and respect for the residents in their care. They will be a reassuring, friendly presence and advocate for the residents' quality of life and comfort.
