Job summary

Butterball is seeking a maintenance technician (IMT) to provide mechanical support across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and welding in our food processing plants. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance experience in at least one discipline.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Certificate/Diploma in Industrial Maintenance or similar area strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex maintenance across electrical, electronics, hydraulics, welding, and fabrication of repair parts to keep equipment and processes running smoothly.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using diagnostic tools (ladder logic, volt meters, etc.).
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication and blade changes.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment in support of food safety initiatives.
• Train and support other IMTs, Machine Operators and Production Associates in preventive maintenance tasks.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Suggest process changes to increase uptime while maintaining safety and quality.
• Work independently or in teams; manage time and paperwork.
