Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility in Mississippi. This 2nd shift contract-to-hire role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems with preventive maintenance emphasis.

You will work on PLC-controlled equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with production to prioritize repairs. Onsite with multiple shifts, offering growth toward permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting including PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues involving gears, bearings, and pumps.
• Perform mechanical repairs to restore operation on production and facility equipment.
• Conduct deeper mechanical and electrical troubleshooting based on skill and experience.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment with basic PLC troubleshooting.
• Change filters and fluids on machinery per maintenance schedules.
• Identify and use maintenance tools correctly.
• Lift and move equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment status.
