Job summary

Danfoss is seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance technician for a 2nd shift in Forest City, NC. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance, welding, and precision fabrication in a facilities environment.

You will read blueprints, repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and use machine tools to service equipment while following NEC regulations and safety standards. Local candidates only, sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Industrial mechanical/electrical experience, minimum five (5) years or Associates Degree, plus three (3) years experience.
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must be local – no relocation offered.
• Ability to use advanced testing equipment and hand tools.
• NFPA 70/NFPA 70E knowledge and PLC troubleshooting experience implied in preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems per NEC, including conduit, wiring, and identifying hazards, defects, and repair needs.
• Read blueprints, manuals, and diagrams to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Repair and fabricate devices using hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge to improve or replace equipment.
• Perform Arc, TIG, and MIG welding, as well as oxy-acetylene cutting and brazing.
• Operate machine tools for turning, facing, drilling, threading, boring, and reaming; operate lifts to reach elevated locations.
• Utilize Maintenance Work Order software with minimal direction.
