Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Process Technician for our Gaffney, SC facility. The role will train Mold Technicians and Mold Setters on best practices, troubleshoot molding processes, and drive improvements on second shift.

You will report to the Group Leader, support setup and preventive maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to minimize scrap and downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience with injection molding presses and plastics materials.
• Ability to pass process technician assessments.
• Teamwork and strong communication.
• Knowledge of mold design, venting and cooling systems.
• Training in LOTO, Crane & Rigging, and Forklift.
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Train Mold Technicians and Mold Setters on best practices.
• Communicate improvements to Group Leader and staff.
• Troubleshoot machines and plastic processes; install molds and set up processes.
• Submit first piece for inspection; monitor cycle times and scrap.
• Perform mold set-ups and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure safety and report issues to supervisors.
• Assist with other duties as assigned, including maintenance.
