During the installation process. These molds are used to make Thermoplastic parts such as fittings, boxes or straps. Ideal candidates will be operationally savvy, detail-oriented, and possess prior Injection Molding experience, with expertise in offering superior levels of customer service.Responsibilities:Safely remove and install plastic injection molds of varying sizes and complexities, including molds utilizing hydraulic coresConsistently produce good parts to time standards using both established processes and by establishing process parameters when necessaryStart machines at the beginning of each production day ensuring parts are of good qualityInspect part quality of ongoing jobs and adjust processes to address common part defects such as splay, flash, shorting, jetting, sink, etc.Read / follow work order instructions and make suggestions for work order edits to improve proceduresAccurately calculate and record cycle times, shot weights, setup / start-up times, and start-up scrapSafely shut down jobs in preparation for mold changeoversWork with other technicians to problem solve in a team-oriented mannerConvey necessary information regarding area of work to supervisors and successive shift counterpartsOperate machines to cover break/lunches for other team members as neededCapable of handling an injection molding job from setup through shutdown including troubleshooting process issuesQualifications:High School Diploma / GED1+ years of injection molding Mold Setter experienceMust have good mechanical aptitude and ability to use proper hand tools for mold installation.Skilled in critical injection molding process parameters (pressure, speed, heat, time, etc.) and how they interrelate in building a process that yields molded parts of consistently high qualityGeneral knowledge of plastic injection molding machines and related equipment such as robots, die heaters, hot tip controllers, dryers, and hoppersAble to provide training in safe machine operationExperience working with hydraulic systemsExperience processing a wide variety of thermoplastic materialsWell organized, analytical, reliable, and positive work attitudeGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbsCompensations and Benefits:We offer a wide range of career opportunities with excellent benefits.
