Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a 2nd Shift Tool Repair Technician (Mold Maker) in Kansas City, MO. You will be responsible for tooling maintenance, preventive maintenance, and tool repairs to support plastic injection molding operations.

The role requires extensive mold making experience, reading tooling prints and diagrams, and the ability to operate cranes and forklifts, with a focus on safety and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in mold making/repair.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with plastic injection molds.
• Ability to read tooling prints and circuit diagrams (hydraulic/electrical).
• Must have own toolbox and an assortment of mold making tools.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tools in optimal operating condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing tools.
• Assist in training associates on proper tool care and use.
• Maintain records of tool repairs and changes.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support process engineers and tech center in improvements.
