Due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and onsite work requirements, this role is full-time on location at a BAE Systems facility.

Our Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) team specializes in technology, engineering, and mentoring to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. We welcome innovative thinkers passionate about driving fielding velocity and ensuring the safety of warfighters.

Position Overview

The Microwave Process Engineer will provide manufacturing engineering leadership within a microelectronics manufacturing cell. This role supports our 2nd shift, which includes a full factory team across supply chain, supervision, quality engineering, and operational staff. The engineer will coordinate with various functions to resolve front-line issues and drive continuous improvement for cost reduction and efficiency. Mentorship will be provided to foster confidence, leadership, and career growth.

Responsibilities
  • Support development, sustainment, and improvement of processes using automated and manual machinery in pick and place and optical inspection cells.
  • Conduct nonconforming material reviews.
  • Assist with First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Design custom fixtures to support factory initiatives.
  • Execute production goals daily.
  • Support a team of 5-10 cross-functional employees and contribute to decisions that improve yield, reduce costs, and enhance delivery.
Minimum Requirements
  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial preferred) with 1-2 years of experience, or 3-4 years of experience without a degree.
  • Manufacturing experience supporting equipment.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills across various audiences and platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate leadership, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SOPs and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge.
  • Six Sigma training or project experience.
  • Experience with multivariate analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $77,809 - $132,275, based on market data and individual qualifications.
