Full-time onsite:

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

This is a 2nd shift (Weekday Nights) Position.

Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. Team members (you) will have manufacturing engineering local leadership within one of our microelectronics manufacturing cells. Our 2nd shift employs a full factory from supply chain, supervisors, quality engineering and touch personnel. This process engineering team member will coordinate with the various functions to help support front line issues while driving continuous improvement activity for further cost reduction in the factory. We are seeking an experienced process engineer for this role, and are looking for a candidate who will provide leadership and mentorship to other team members.

The team member will support our bonding cell and responsibilities include: assisting in the development, sustainment, and improvement of the processes via both automated and manual machinery throughout the wire and ribbon bonding work cells. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, nonconforming material review, FAI support, and design of custom fixtures for supporting factory-wide initiatives as well as day to day execution of production goals.

This process engineering job will effectively support a group of 5-10 cross-functional employees and will be empowered to implement new and innovative solutions while being relied on to make various decisions that improve the overall success of the microelectronics factory (yield improvements, cost take out, delivery improvements).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  1. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or in a related Technical degree, with 6 years or more of process engineering experience.
  2. Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and demonstrate leadership necessary to support the manufacturing team.
  3. Ability to present and clearly communicate data to peers, management, and customers.
  4. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  5. Experience working independently and as a key member of a team.
  6. Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.
  7. Experience with wire/ribbon bonding processes/equipment is required.
  8. Lean knowledge/manufacturing experience is required.
  9. Six Sigma training or projects preferred.
  10. Familiarity with Windows based applications (Word/Office/Excel in addition to general comfort using computers and interacting with software and computer controlled equipment).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  1. Knowledge of the hybrid multichip module design.
  2. Experience with Gage R&R.
  3. Experience with Design Of Experiments.
  4. Experience with wire/ribbon bonding processes/equipment is preferred.
  5. Experience with automated high power microscopes and automated optical inspection.
  6. Experience training engineers and operators with complex assembly processes.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
