Job summary

Actalent in New Berlin, WI, is hiring a Laboratory Technician for the 2nd shift in a fast-paced microbiology lab. The role is full-time on a 4x10-hour schedule, with shifts Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat 12:00 PM–10:30 PM (11:00 AM Saturdays).

You will perform microbiological testing, operate equipment, document results, and support cleaning and safety tasks. The position offers contract-to-hire potential and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Background in biology, microbiology, or related science.
• Hands-on laboratory experience.
• Proficiency with plating techniques used in microbiological testing.
• Accurate pipetting and basic lab techniques.
• Comfort using and caring for standard lab equipment.
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing and plating per protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment for reliable results.
• Document procedures and observations accurately.
• Help with cleaning and organization to maintain safety.
