Job summary

Siegfried Hameln GmbH is seeking a Microbiology Lab Technician II for the 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM shift (Sun night through Fri morning). The role supports routine microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and lab operations in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities include EM activities, aseptic technique, sample processing, and strict documentation to ensure GDP and GMP compliance. Requires 1–3 years in a microbiology lab and related education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in Microbiology or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of microbiology lab experience in pharma/biotech is desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine microbiological testing per SOPs and cGMP.
• Conduct Environmental Monitoring activities including viable air sampling.
• Surface and personnel monitoring, non-viable particulate monitoring.
• Collect and process water samples for microbiological analysis.
• Support sample prep, incubation, and documentation.
• Autoclave sterilization of media, glassware, and supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized lab per GMP standards.
• Document activities and test results; review records for GDP compliance.
• Trend EM data and report potential issues to supervision.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments.
