Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking a 2nd shift machine operator to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot multiple manufacturing machines. The role involves reading work orders, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will handle material feeding, minor adjustments, and packaging duties as needed while supporting continuous production and meeting deadlines. Shift is 3:00 PM–1:30 AM, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift and obtain CCM forklift certification.
• Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Basic math, calculator use, and ability to read measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, thread the material through, and operate independently one machine (Shear, PNL, Turret, Brake Press, Robotic Cell, Cut-to-Length, Roll Forming/Seaming, Press Lock, Welder/Paint Booth).
• Follow daily manufacturing work orders with attention to material specifications and notes.
• Assist with operation of other machinery under supervision.
• Assist with packaging at end of line as needed.
• Band and palletize metal coils and/or metal sheets, place tags/labels on finished product.
• Perform quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, and weights using appropriate tools.
• Achieve production goals while complying with all safety requirements.
• Mount and adjust slitter knives, spaces, and guide discs for coil widths; adjust knife clearances for roll-former as needed.
• Adjust machinery by observation and feedback from monitoring equipment; perform quality control methods.
• Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and daily equipment inspections.
• Keep work area orderly and clean.
• Will perform other duties as requested or assigned.
