Detecto in Webb City, MO is hiring a Metal Band Saw Operator for 2nd shift in the machine shop. You will handle band saw operations, feed parts, read measurements, and keep a clean, safe work area while meeting production goals.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and at least two years in a manufacturing setting with cranes, forklifts, or saw equipment. This full-time role offers steady hours Mon-Fri with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in factory/manufacturing environments preferred.
• Familiarity with crane, forklift, or band saw equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming steel from trucks and position material for cutting.
• Verify conformance to specifications using tape measure.
• Operate or be trained to operate a forklift.
• Identify, store, stack and stage product.
• Mark identification on workpieces.
• Read a pick list and determine priority of parts.
• Replace defective cutting blade or wheel.
• Complete paperwork on materials.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Assist in other areas and in training new hires when needed.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and organization.
