Job summary

Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA seeks a 2nd Shift Medical Device Process Technician to set up, troubleshoot, and maintain injection molding processes for medical device components. You will monitor equipment, document validated processes, and support continuous improvement on regulated production lines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in molding, experience with robotics and automated assembly, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on injection molding processing experience.
• Medical device manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in ISO 13485-regulated environments.
• Experience supporting robotics and automated assembly equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with molding, automation, and process control.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• ERP/MRP software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start injection molding machines per schedules and approved parameters.
• Maintain and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot molding machines, robots, and automated assembly equipment to minimize downtime.
• Respond to machine alarms and adjust processes as needed.
• Perform mold and job changeovers and monitor performance.
• Support automated assembly with vision systems, robotics, conveyors, EOAT.
• Maintain process setup sheets and production documentation.
• Ensure QA by using inspection tools and IQMS/ERP data.
