Job summary

Micron Solutions in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a 2nd Shift Process Technician to set up, troubleshoot, and maintain injection molding processes. You will monitor equipment, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement while supporting Lean initiatives.

The role requires 3-5+ years of injection molding experience and strong math, blueprint reading, and ERP skills. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• BS preferred but not required.
• 3-5+ years of injection molding processing experience.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• ISO 9001 experience is desired.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start injection molding machines according to production schedules and parameters.
• Set up and maintain auxiliary equipment for production.
• Troubleshoot molding machines and process-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Respond to machine alarms and adjust processes as needed.
• Perform mold and job changeovers.
• Monitor performance, cycle times, and product quality.
• Maintain process setup sheets, logs, and documentation.
• Ensure line clearances are completed and documented after production.
• Verify products meet quality requirements with inspection tools.
• Enter and maintain production data in IQMS/ERP system.
• Generate production and scrap reports.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
• Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
