Job summary

Premise Health in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant for 2nd shift to support our health center serving employee clients. You will interview patients, take vital signs, maintain records, prepare rooms, and assist at the front desk in a collaborative occupational health environment.

The ideal candidate has current Medical Assisting certification and BLS, prior MA experience preferred, and is comfortable performing routine lab tests, injections, EKGs, and patient education.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from Premise Health approved organization.
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers (AHA/ARC or equivalent).
• Previous MA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Maintains patient health records with up-to-date information.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Administers medications, performs labs, and operates EKGs as allowed by state.
• Assists front desk, schedules appointments, follows up, orders supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
