Job summary

NOV is seeking a 2nd shift Mechanical Assembler in Houston for gearbox assembly, testing, and subassembly work. You will read blueprints, measure parts, and document dimensions while maintaining a clean, safe work area and supporting cross-functional teams to quickly resolve issues.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, forklift skills, and a high school diploma. Overtime and some weekend work are possible, with comprehensive NOV benefits.

• Background in industrial machinery assembly required.
• Must read assembly blueprints in English.
• Forklift skills required.
• Material handling experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs gear box assembly and testing.
• Reads blueprints and records dimensions.
• Cleans and maintains work area and tools.
• Maintains a safe working environment by following procedures.
• Collaborates with Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Supports NOV HSE policies and procedures.
