Job summary

Wellness Pet Company in Decatur, AR is seeking a Production Operator I - Meat Room for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM). You will operate meat room equipment, dispense ingredients, and support production with adherence to SOPs and GMPs.

The ideal candidate reads and writes English, can lift up to 50 pounds, and has basic mechanical aptitude with hand tools. Prior forklift experience and production environment exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during shift.
• Work in an environment with heat, noise, and chemicals.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and use of hand tools.
• Familiarity with SOPs and GMPs.
• Basic math and reading comprehension required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and disassemble meat room equipment per SOPs.
• Dump meat slurry into hopper to maintain production runtime.
• Prepare and start equipment per production schedule.
• Clean equipment per sanitation SOPs and maintain area cleanliness.
• Monitor product quality and ensure specs are met.
• Report issues to supervisor and assist with troubleshooting.
• Operate forklift to store and stage materials as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
