Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, SC is seeking a Material Handler to ensure a smooth flow of materials for production, shipping and receiving. You’ll stock, locate, pick, and prepare materials, while maintaining safety and organization.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years in material handling, with forklift/pallet jack experience and the ability to lift 50 lbs. 2nd shift is 2:00 PM–10:30 PM; overtime or weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or logistics training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling, labeling, and documenting materials.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) safely and efficiently.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00PM -10:30PM).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekend shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from suppliers and verify accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Stock and locate materials in designated storage areas or production locations.
• Pick materials according to production orders and prepare them for washing or further processing.
• Wash, wrap, pack, and crate materials for shipments and outsource operations as required.
• Perform physical and systematic inventory movements to ensure accurate material tracking.
• Support production and logistics teams by maintaining organized and efficient material flow.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Fulfill all other assigned duties to support team-based operations.
