Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Material Handler to ensure smooth flow of materials supporting production, shipping, and receiving. Your accuracy and safety mindset will directly impact manufacturing success and customer satisfaction.

You will receive materials, stock, pick, wash, and crate items while maintaining organized inventory. Requires 2+ years in material handling, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to operate forklifts. 2nd shift (2:00PM–10:30PM) with potential overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or logistics training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) safely and efficiently.
• Proficient with inventory systems and basic computer applications for data entry and tracking.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks as needed.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00PM -10:30PM).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekend shifts as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from suppliers and verify accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Stock and locate materials in designated storage areas or production locations.
• Pick materials according to production orders and prepare them for washing or further processing.
• Wash, wrap, pack, and crate materials for shipments and outsource operations as required.
• Perform physical and systematic inventory movements to ensure accurate material tracking.
• Support production and logistics teams by maintaining organized and efficient material flow throughout the facility.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Fulfill all other assigned duties to support team-based operations.
