Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Material Handler to ensure smooth material flow in Greenville. You will receive, stock, pick, wash, and ship materials, while maintaining accurate inventory and complying with safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience, forklift operation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 2nd shift (2:00PM-10:30PM) with potential overtime. GE Vernova offers comprehensive benefits and a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or logistics training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling, labeling and documenting materials.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) safely and efficiently.
• Proficient with inventory systems and basic computer applications for data entry and tracking.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00PM-10:30PM).
• Willingness to work overtime or weekend shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials from suppliers and verify accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Stock and locate materials in designated storage areas or production locations.
• Pick materials according to production orders and prepare for washing or processing.
• Wash, wrap, pack, and crate materials for shipments and outsourcing as required.
• Perform inventory movements to ensure accurate material tracking.
• Support production and logistics teams by maintaining organized material flow.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Fulfill all other duties to support team-based operations.
