Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive, Sanford, Maine, seeks a Material Handler for 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm) to support material movements, inventory control, and SAP/WMS transactions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include receiving, put-away, shipping, and cycle counts, with emphasis on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. Prior forklift experience and a High School Diploma are preferred, along with strong attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment required; 2+ years strongly preferred
• Experience with Powered Industrial Vehicles (Forklifts, lift trucks, pallet jacks) strongly preferred
• Experience with safety and quality systems, preferably in a Material Handling capacity preferred
• Demonstrated computer skills to use SAP/WMS System for transactions and troubleshooting
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly with or without accommodation
• Ability to meet shift requirements with excellent attendance
• Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Material movement activities including receiving, sampling, staging of materials for production
• Put-away, shipping, inventory control, housekeeping, warehousing maintenance
• Recycling/waste transport, problem solving, and continuous improvement
• EOHS responsibilities including MSBs, PPE usage, and disposal requirements
• Operate powered lifts safely and provide site training as needed
• Maintain accurate SAP/WMS tracking of material movements and inventory
• Perform bin control, confirmations, and inventory reporting/adjustments
• Support housekeeping audits and visual workplace improvements
• Collaborate with team to meet production and shipping goals
• Utilize scanner and computer systems for transactions and reporting
