Job summary

O'Neal Steel in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Material Handler for the 2nd shift to load/unload materials and move items within the warehouse. You will operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment to position stock for transfer to trucks or trains.

Responsibilities include reading tape measures, using a range of hand tools, and ensuring high quality output for internal and external customers. Overtime may be required; successful candidates pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• Ability to use a variety of hand tools including grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, etc.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Responsible for providing high quality work to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Use hand tools such as grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, etc.
