Job summary

O'Neal Steel LLC in Shelbyville, IN is seeking a Material Handler for the 2nd shift (2 pm - 10 pm, Mon–Fri) to load and unload material in our warehouse using forklifts, overhead cranes, and conveyors.

Responsibilities include moving material, reading tape measures, and operating a range of equipment; background check and drug test required after offer; competitive benefits include health, vision, dental, 401k.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools including grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, etc.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Responsible for providing high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload material within a warehouse using appropriate equipment.
• Move material to and from trucks or trains and within storage areas.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures; may require some routine decision making.
• Operate equipment safely to ensure accurate, on-time material handling.
