Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Omaha, NE is seeking a Material Handler on 2nd shift to move material and inventory throughout the facility.

The role supports operations and requires the use of hand trucks, conveyors, and other handling equipment. You will perform packing, scanning, kitting, and counting, verify orders and labels with a handheld scanner, and follow the 7S program while keeping the workspace safe and clean.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents.
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment (preferred).
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.
• Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
• Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment.
• Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products.
• Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner.
• Adhere to the 7S program.
• Maintain a clean environment at all times.
• Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members.
