Hallmark Cards, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Materials Movement Specialist for the Leavenworth, KS production facility.

You will transport stock and recycled materials between the warehouse and production areas to support smooth material flow essential to operations. The role requires operating various forklift types, loading/unloading trailers, stocking locations, and complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to frequently move materials weighing 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds from the floor.
• Ability to stand and walk approximately 95% of the time.
• Ability to frequently push, pull, twist, bend, and reach above shoulder level.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of material movement equipment and attachments, including sit-down/stand-up propane and electric-powered forklifts, roll clamps, box clamps, push/pull slipsheeters, and hi-bay reach trucks.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trailers, and move pallets on and off conveyors using freight elevators as needed.
• Locate stock in the warehouse and fill manufacturing orders using powered equipment.
• Operate corrugate and paper balers to compress recyclable materials into bales, and transport hazardous waste in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Complete all documentation related to stock movement accurately and efficiently.
• Coordinate with recycling and other contractors for the pick-up and delivery of storage containers and trailers.
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on balers and power equipment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by moving to different work assignments as needed and learning multiple tasks within the job classification.
• Participate positively in performance dialogues and team problem-solving activities, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Communicate effectively with outside vendors and other departments.
• Utilize good safety practices at all times.
