Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Lawrence, KS is seeking a Materials Movement Specialist for the 2nd shift (3:30pm – 12:00am). You will move stock between production areas and the warehouse, load/unload trucks, and assist in recycling and material handling with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires operating lift trucks, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate stock documentation while adapting to multiple assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to stand and walk most of the shift; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to move materials and operate PPE safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and power equipment as certified.
• Transport stock between production, warehouse, and docks.
• Prepare materials for shipment using banding and related tools.
• Coordinate with contractors for pickup/delivery of containers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on balers and equipment.
• Communicate with vendors and other departments.
• Follow safety procedures and protect personnel.
