Job summary

Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Lawrence, KS seeks a Materials Movement Specialist for 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00am). You will move stock between production areas and warehouses, operate forklifts, and handle documentation for stock movement.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, routine collaboration with drivers and departments, and adherence to safety procedures in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to frequently move materials weighing 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass certification to operate lift trucks and power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Be certified to operate fork lifts and other power equipment as required.
• Transport stock between production departments and warehouse or between shipping and receiving docks and load onto trucks.
• Prepare materials and supplies for shipment using banding equipment, power saws, power drills, film wrapper and string tie.
• Coordinate with paper recycling contractor, metal, or other contractors regarding pick-up and delivery of storage containers and trailers.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork to influence goals and adapt to shorter timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with outside vendors and other departments.
• Utilize good safety practices.
