Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX is seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a 26-person team on a make-to-order precision component site, ensuring on-time delivery and profitable production.

You will supervise and coach machinists, operators, and assembly personnel, enforce safety, quality, and productivity standards, and drive continuous improvement through Lean, 5S and Kaizen activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory production experience in high mix manufacturing.
• CNC experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement experience.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.
• Degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Lean/6S/Kaizen experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a 26-person hourly team including machine operators, machinists and assembly personnel.
• Plan, schedule, and direct daily production to meet customer demand and profitability.
• Enforce safety, quality, and efficiency standards; lead team meetings and safety briefings.
• Organize work allocation to optimize labor and equipment use and maintain OEE.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to achieve production goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist in hiring, performance assessments and training of staff.
