Job summary

Menasha Corporation in Mentor, OH is seeking a Team Lead for the 2nd shift to drive production through coaching 15–20 associates across assembly cells. You will help resolve issues, oversee safety, quality, and productivity, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include monitoring throughput, conducting audits, coordinating with supervision, and ensuring adherence to 5S and customer specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• 1+ year’s demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Internal ORBIS Employee: Operator 2 Level, production full cycle operator or positions or higher.
• Less than 3 attendance points; No disciplinary actions above Verbal Warning.
• Remain in position for 180 days.
• Desired: 2–5 year’s demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
• Lead teams of 15-20 associates or 4-5 assembly cells; coach on safety, quality, productivity.
• Support supervisors and cell leads to balance work.
• Answer Andon lights and resolve assembly cell issues.
• Coordinate with Plant Production on inspections and approvals (FIRST PIECE, CAF).
• Monitor cell throughput and conduct waste walks as needed.
• Oversee 5S cleanup and cell audits.
• Assist setup team as needed.
• Identify needs for assembly fixtures and implement error-proofing.
• Gather information on Product Hold Tickets and Complaints.
• Drive continuous improvement of quality policies and procedures.
• Provide feedback to Production Management on issues affecting orders.
• Initiate and provide solutions via appropriate channels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
