Job summary

Moog in Orrville, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Process Lead for the 2nd shift in the Space and Defense group. You will provide technical leadership to machinists, ensure machines run safely and to quality standards, and optimize setups and workflows in a fast-paced work cell.

Reporting to the Machining Operations Manager, you will collaborate with supervisors and schedulers to align production plans, troubleshoot in real time, and mentor newer operators while maintaining thorough documentation

Qualifications

At least 7 years of related machining experience.
High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise demonstrated ability to follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

Ensure machines are running efficiently, safely, and to quality standards.
Provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to machinists and operators in the work cell.
Serve as a subject matter expert for gear machining processes and setups.
Assist with job sequencing and workflow optimization to reduce downtime.
Collaborate with supervisors and schedulers to support production plans and priorities.
Troubleshoot machining and process issues and provide solutions in real time.
Ensure accuracy of setups, measurements, and finished parts.
Support training and knowledge-sharing with newer or less-experienced operators.
Maintain organization and documentation related to setups and processes.
