Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Process Lead for the 2nd shift in Orrville, OH. You will report to the Machining Operations Manager and lead a work cell to ensure safe, efficient production of gear components.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong English reading/writing, and at least seven years of machining experience. Onsite position with a 2nd shift and competitive compensation with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; otherwise ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English.
• At least 7 years of related machining experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure machines run efficiently, safely, and to quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to machinists and operators in the work cell.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for gear machining processes and setups.
• Assist with job sequencing and workflow optimization (e.g., leveraging similar setups to reduce downtime).
• Collaborate with supervisors and schedulers to support production plans and priorities.
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues and provide solutions in real time.
• Ensure accuracy of setups, measurements, and finished parts.
• Support training and knowledge-sharing with newer or less-experienced operators.
• Maintain organization and documentation related to setups and processes as required.
