Job summary

Kraft Heinz Kendallville is seeking an hourly maintenance position to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across building, production, and utilities. You will coordinate with production to keep lines running, perform preventive tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts at the Kendallville plant.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in dusty, hot, and humid conditions.

Qualifications

• Maintenance training/degree and experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Self-motivated and strong drive for results.
• Use simple mathematics.
• Lift 50 pounds.
• Able to climb a ladder.
• Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
• Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment as needed associated with the building, production, and utilities.
• Coordinate with production to address any corrective maintenance required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on all production, building, and utilities equipment as assigned.
• Participate in the development of documented preventive maintenance plan.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design.
• Analyze equipment failures and recommend/implement corrective actions.
• Communicate with maintenance personnel on other shifts, as necessary, to ensure coordination of maintenance efforts on assigned equipment.
• Work cross functionally as a member of the operations team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
