Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Dover, DE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to partner with production teams to restore uptime and improve reliability. You will diagnose failures, execute PM/PdM work, and implement improvements across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, tubing and pipefitting work, and the ability to work across shifts with overtime as needed; safety and documentation are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and basic mathematical functions.
• Basic computer proficiency, including typing.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and follow-up skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication with project engineers on technical objectives.
• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance principles for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Ability to quickly diagnose and repair complex machinery and system breakdowns.
• Experience performing scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance; manage spare parts inventory.
• Self-motivated and willing to participate in intensive technical training and cross-functional development.

Responsibilities

• Report to Maintenance Supervisor; partner with hourly and salaried teams to restore uptime.
• Troubleshoot major equipment failures quickly and accurately; diagnose root cause and repairs.
• Execute scheduled PM/PdM work; document completion and findings.
• Recommend and implement reliability/productivity improvements based on system performance.
• Perform mechanical work and assist packaging areas as needed.
• Fabricate, install, maintain, and repair equipment from prints/layouts; modify production lines per engineering direction.
• Operate tools; perform hydrostatic/pressure testing as required.
