Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor for our New Berlin, WI team. You will supervise, coach, and develop a production crew, driving accountability and collaboration across shifts.

You will lead problem solving, implement continuous improvement, and ensure safety and efficiency while meeting production goals. A hands-on leader with strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on leader who drives accountability and collaboration.
• Strong background in continuous improvement and applying Lean/5S concepts.
• Ability to navigate personalities and promote open communication.
• Proven supervisory experience coaching and motivating a diverse team.
• Read/interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders and specs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate 2nd shift manufacturing activities to meet goals.
• Train, cross-train, and develop team members for success.
• Support continuous improvement through lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Act as backup for team leads and communicate goals to all members.
• Resolve employee issues through problem/conflict resolution with managers.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine processes.
