Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks a 2nd Shift Supervisor to oversee production across multiple work cells, scheduling in-house work orders, and aligning with the Production Manager on forecasts. You’ll ensure capacity and throughput meet demand while maintaining safety and quality.

You will lead teams, coach leads, and coordinate with HR, Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues and improve processes. Strong Lean knowledge and ERP/MRP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Production experience of 5 years minimum.
• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing management or equivalent.
• Experience supervising and managing teams.
• Experience with production scheduling.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Experience with inventory costing concepts.
• Understanding of the Pareto principle.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Work Orders needed for daily production requirements for various work cells.
• Maintain production staff hours and schedules including logging attendance notes and managing time in software.
• Communicate with HR regarding production staff needs including temporary employees management and evaluations.
• Provide performance feedback to Supervisors and Managers on team members as needed.
• Train new Production Team Leads.
• Communicate with Production Manager and Engineering on equipment and process issues.
• Adhere to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Oversee and improve KPI tracking and visual management on the floor.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve schedule challenges.
