Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the 2nd shift in our metal fabrication facility. You will plan hour-by-hour production, ensure safety, and coordinate with Engineering, Quality and other support areas to meet schedules.

You will lead a small team, train new members, review work instructions, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decisions. Strong communication, teamwork, and Lean concepts are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in low mix/low volume metal fabrication environment.
• 3+ years leading/supervising small teams.
• Experience with MS Office and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize hour-by-hour activities for 2nd shift manufacturing associates.
• Provide technical support to the production floor by resolving issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with daily department schedules to meet shipments.
• Monitor run times and process improvements; audit paperwork and routings.
• Communicate with Engineering, Quality, and other support areas as issues arise.
• Train and mentor new team members; participate in continuous improvement.
• Documentation and hand-offs for 1st shift; support safety policies.
