Job summary

RTX’s Patriot Missile Manufacturing Engineering team in Andover, MA is seeking a second shift Manufacturing Engineer. You will develop and improve manufacturing processes, support cross-functional teams, and drive improvements in cycle time, safety, and productivity.

Requires a STEM degree, 1+ year manufacturing experience, and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance. Onsite role with a comprehensive benefits package and a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Support a manufacturing area as part of cross-functional team by guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and changes.
• Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and cost using CORE principles and data-driven decisions.
• Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, in-house and with the supply base.
• Lead corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.
