Motor Technology, Inc. is hiring a 2nd Shift Manual Machinist I to operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, vertical and horizontal mills, and to read blueprints for precision parts in York, PA.

The role emphasizes tight tolerances, speed/feeds selection, and occasional welding tasks to support repair and rebuilding projects. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of setup/operation experience on manual machines, with proficiency in micrometers, micrometers and dial indicators, and a high school

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years setting up/operating manual lathes and mills.
• Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• Welding experience with GMAW/GTAW/SMAW valued.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and set up and operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, and mills.
• Maintain tight tolerances with micrometers, calipers and dial indicators.
• Determine speeds/feeds for surface finishes; assist welding operations.
• Participate in repair, rebuilding, assembly and disassembly of industrial equipment.
