Job summary

Motor Technology, Inc. is seeking a Full-time 3rd Shift Manual Machinist I to operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, and mills. You’ll read blueprints, set up machines, and apply the correct speeds and feeds to achieve precise finishes, with a 15% shift differential for 3rd shift.

Schedule is Monday to Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with overtime and on-call weekend rotation every 5 weeks. Benefits include a 401(k) with up to 8% match, medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA contributions,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating manual lathes and mills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
• Welding experience with GMAW, GTAW, and SMAW is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Operate engine lathes, vertical lathes, and both vertical and horizontal mills.
• Read blueprints and determine critical dimensions.
• Set up machines and select speeds/feeds to achieve tight tolerances and good surface finishes.
• Assist with welding operations and support repair, rebuilding, and disassembly projects.
