Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Sandston, VA. This full-time, hourly role performs maintenance on plant buildings, machinery and equipment, and supports other maintenance staff in mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities include following safety policies, maintaining a clean work area, troubleshooting electrical components, managing work orders and inventory, and training coworkers. Strong reading of diagrams and hydraulic/pneumatic knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Must have knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure that coworkers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Maintain a safe & clean work area.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components.
• Ensure that all work orders provided are completed as requested, or solution is reached.
• Maintain parts inventory.
• Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
• Assist in the training of coworkers.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs required maintenance on the plant’s building, machinery and equipment.
• Assists other maintenance personnel in performing mechanical maintenance.
