Job summary

Pratt Industries in Sandston, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and buildings. You will troubleshoot electrical and electronic components and assist in keeping the work area safe and organized.

The role requires reading mechanical diagrams and hydraulics knowledge, 5+ years experience or relevant training, and strong communication. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits after probation and opportunities to grow with

Qualifications

• Must be able to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• 5+ years of experience, or documented training.
• Strong communication, written and verbal skills.
• Reading & using a non metric measuring tape.
• Ability to count and perform basic math operations.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure that coworkers adhere to all applicable safe work policies & procedures.
• Maintain a safe & clean work area.
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components.
• Ensure that all work orders provided are completed as requested, or solution is reached.
• Maintain parts inventory.
• Complete all paper work and data entry as required.
• Assist in the training of coworkers.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
