Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift at the Melrose Park, IL plant. You will work with the maintenance manager to complete repairs, installations and preventive maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

This role requires hands-on skills, adherence to GMP and safety standards, and the ability to communicate effectively with a team on a union shop floor with a strong culture of collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years maintenance mechanic experience in food/beverage/pharma manufacturing.
• Knowledge of GMP, sanitation and safety standards for manufacturing.
• Experience with welding, cutting and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance per work orders and safety rules.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery such as extruders, mixers and conveyors.
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Document shift notes and maintain inventory; follow safety practices.
