Job summary

US Foods, Inc. in Spokane Valley is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic to keep production and facility equipment running. You will perform repairs, maintain logs, and ensure safety compliance in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or better, six months of mechanic experience, and ability to read, write and follow directions. The role requires standing, lifting, and occasional driving, with overtime and shift differential.

Qualifications

• Six months of mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; ability to repair/overhaul warehouse & production equipment; welding ability.
• Read and write legibly; follow orders; basic math; work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on production/facility equipment to ensure availability for day and night operations.
• Review equipment reports, record actions/repairs, and maintain a repair log.
• Complete documentation for equipment activities (forms, PM logs).
• Perform PMs and maintain PM logs per policy.
• Comply with safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, safe work environment).
• Maintain and secure battery-charging area and tools; manage inventory and storage.
• If authorized, purchase tools/parts from local vendors.
