Job summary

American Pop Corn Company seeks a Production Maintenance Mechanic to support the 2nd shift. You’ll maintain, repair, and optimize production equipment, run preventive maintenance, and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and strong troubleshooting skills. This role offers comprehensive benefits and a culture of teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational/technical diploma or associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 months of related warehouse, manufacturing, or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, work instructions, and shipping documents.
• Basic computer skills with inventory systems and database software.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
• Diagnose machinery and equipment malfunctions to determine repair needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and provide timely service on machines.
• Coordinate with Supervisor to schedule PMs and maintenance tasks.
• Identify parts and services needed and liaise with Storeroom/Inventory Specialist.
• Document work performed and report test results and alterations as required.
• Support safety initiatives and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Assist with general plant maintenance to ensure safe operations.
