Job summary
Smurfit Westrock in Ravenna, OH is seeking a maintenance technician for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm, Mon–Sat). You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including PLCs, motors, drives, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, ensuring safe, efficient operation.
Requires strong electrical/mechanical aptitude and willingness to work overtime. Training occurs during daytime hours; pay is hourly with shift differential and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with extensive troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, controls and transmissions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure production machinery functions correctly and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, compressor, and vacuum systems.
- Work on motors, conveyors, AC/DC drives, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Work with steam and boiler controls and mechanical power drives.
- Perform predictive and preventative maintenance activities.
- Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines and procedures.
- Complete timely and accurate paperwork.
